Converting between standard, measured and weighed products
In WooCommerce, we have a field called EPN Product Type which is used to set the product type in Epos Now.
The options are:
- Standard
- Measured (cm/m)
- Weighted (g/kg/oz/lb)
When the product syncs to EposNow, it also sets the product type.
If you need to change the product type, then there are a few things to remember:
- If the product type is not already set to Standard, then first change it to Standard and save the product on Woo and let that sync to EN (you can verify it is set as standard in the EN back office). After that, you can change the product type to Measured or Weighted as needed. The key thing to remember is it must first go into Standard if you need to change between measured and weighted.
Once the product type has been changed, if the product had any stock level in Epos Now (even if it is zero), then you will not be able to change the stock level. To get around this, you can delete the existing stock from EN by going to Advanced Edit on the product, and then on the stock section, delete any stock:
Once that is done, you will then be able to set the stock level again.
